Key Stages 1 & 2 at BIAM
Laying the foundation for confident, curious learners.
At the British International Academy Marrakech, our Primary School—spanning Years 1 to 6—is where children begin to flourish academically and socially. During these formative years, students build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while developing essential interpersonal skills that prepare them to thrive in a global society.
Rooted in the English National Curriculum, our teaching approach blends the rigour of a British education with the richness of an international environment. Inquiry-led learning, cultural awareness, and a nurturing atmosphere make the classroom experience dynamic and deeply engaging. At BIAM, learning goes far beyond textbooks—it’s a vibrant journey of exploration guided by passionate educators and enriched by a diverse school community.
We divide the primary phase into two key stages:
Key Stage 1 (ages 5–7)
Key Stage 2 (ages 7–11)
All instruction is delivered in English, with French integrated to support our bilingual ethos.
Our multicultural environment offers a unique opportunity for children to develop global awareness while gaining the confidence and flexibility to transition seamlessly to international education systems anywhere in the world. We celebrate all cultures and promote values of inclusion, empathy, and curiosity.
Ongoing assessments allow teachers to track each child’s growth closely, and we keep parents well-informed with regular feedback and open communication.

We also offer private music lessons starting from age 4, allowing students to explore their musical talents in a personalized way.
Learning is enriched with regular educational outings, museum visits, and cultural events that connect classroom topics with the wider world. Our goal is to inspire learners to take ownership of their education, think critically, and collaborate with others.
